Youth Advisory Committee

The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) is a group of teenagers and young adults who have past and present experiences of being a patient at Princess Margaret Hospital and/or PCH.

YAC represents the views of children and young people across all areas of health in Western Australia.

The committee is dedicated to bringing about positive change to improve health services for future generations of children and young people who come to PCH.

YAC members are invited to attend various projects and focus groups – including PCH Executive meetings – to ensure the "little" voices are heard and a youth perspective is always considered in important decision making.

The committee was formed in 2009 to advise on the planning of PCH and make recommendations on valuable features for children, young people, families and carers who would be coming to the hospital. Many of the YAC's ideas were incorporated into the building design and the layout of PCH.

YAC is all about kids doing it for kids, making it a unique asset for PCH.

Please contact the committee by email to provide feedback or register your interest in becoming a member.
