Interpreter service

Perth Children's Hospital (PCH) welcomes and embraces cultural diversity and we aim to provide care to your child and family that is consistent with these values.

PCH provides professional interpreters for children and families with limited or no English language or who are deaf or hearing impaired. Interpreters can talk to you face-to-face or by telephone, to help us understand each other.

In hospital

While you are in hospital you can ask a staff member for an interpreter at any time and we will help you find the right one for your needs.

At home

If you are at home and need to contact a staff member for a telephone consult, call the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) on 131 450

If you need to request an interpreter to be with you at an upcoming PCH appointment, please call the PCH Interpreter Service.
