Advice for parents and carers about how to request a Medical Emergency Team (MET) review to get help for urgent medical concerns at Princess Margaret Hospital.
At Princess Margaret Hospital we place children, young people, families and carers at the centre of everything we do. Our staff are committed to working with you to give your child the best possible care.
We recognise that as parents and carers you know your child far better than health care providers. You know what the 'normal' behaviours and characteristics are for your child.

The Medical Emergency Team (MET) at PMH provides a medical and nursing assessment (within five minutes) of any child who requires urgent medical review. The MET is made up of specialist doctors and nurses.
If you would like to make a complaint or provide general feedback, please contact a customer liaison officer on 9340 7198.
If you wish to ask for a second opinion on your child's clinical condition, please talk to your nurse for more information.
